The following changes in requirements to the Standard for External Corrosion Protection Systems for Steel Underground Storage Tanks, UL 1746, are being proposed for preliminary review and comment only:

1. For Preliminary Review Only: Revisions to the scope section to clarify and update the requirements

2. For Preliminary Review Only: Revisions to the glossary section to clarify, update, and provide consistency with other underground storage tank standards

3. For Preliminary Review Only: Addition of a capacity and dimensions section and relocation of the requirements into this section

4. For Preliminary Review Only: Revisions to the lift lug tests which includes the use of calculations for evaluating lift lugs

5. For Preliminary Review Only: Addition of biodiesel blends as Type A immersion liquid

6. For Preliminary Review Only: Revision to Table 24.1 regarding thickness of samples

7. For Preliminary Review Only: Revision to time for testing of physical property

8. For Preliminary Review Only: Deletion of abrasion test

9. For Preliminary Review Only: Addition of requirements for interior linings and corrosion allowance for internal corrosion of non-lined steel tanks

10. For Preliminary Review Only: Deletion of term Type I Tank

11. For Preliminary Review Only: Revision of anode continuity test to add passing criteria

12. For Preliminary Review Only: Revision of leakage test in manufacturing and production tests

13. For Preliminary Review Only: Revision to indentation test for Part IV coated tanks

14. For Preliminary Review Only: Revisions to installation instructions

15. For Preliminary Review Only: Addition of interstitial communication test
