2 Scope

2.1 This procedure provides a framework for the evaluation and validation of paper-based packaging products and other innovative paper-based products for material recycling.

2.2 This procedure and the test protocols described within will establish whether the item is technically recyclable, but will not establish that the item will be accepted for recycling by all or the majority of municipal recycling programs in the United States.
