SUMMARY OF TOPICS
This bulletin proposes the following changes in requirements:
1. Certification Issues: Deletion of paragraph 1.6 from the Scope of UL 291
2. Grounded Conductor Insulation Color: Deletion of the word "natural" from the term "natural gray", in reference to the grounded conductor insulation. (UL 291: 7.6.1; UL 680: 13.5.3)
3. Editorial Changes (UL 291: paragraphs 7.2.2.3, 7.3.1.6, 9.7, 35.2.3 and Appendix A; UL 680: Appendix A)
4. Level 1 Security Container Alternate Material Requirements: Addition of requirements to allow for the use of 1/2-inch thick steel alloy, and an 8-minute attack test using the UL 687 TL-30 tool complement (UL 291, Sections 13.2, 13.3 and 35)
This bulletin also proposes that UL 291 and UL 680 each be approved, with the proposed changes in requirements, as an ANSI standard.
