The initial ballot of the Eleventh Edition of UL 174, the Standard for Household Electric Storage Tank Water Heaters, did not include the Supplement SA - Electric Storage Tank Water Heaters For Marine Use. This bulletin proposes the Supplement SA - Electric Storage Tank Water Heaters For Marine Use to be recognized for ANSI approval.

SUMMARY OF TOPICS

This bulletin proposes the Eleventh Edition of UL 174, the Standard for Household Electric Storage Tank Water Heaters. This proposed new edition is a periodic re-issuance to ensure that UL's Standards remain up to date with regard to format and editorial issues such as numbering, pagination, and cross-referencing. This proposed new edition also includes proposed revisions to the current edition of UL 174. Specific topics include:

1. Marking for Controlling Supplemental Heat

2. Push Back Relief Test

3. Identification of Terminals for Equipment Grounding

4. Revision for Grounded Conductors

5. Deletion of "No." from Statements of AWG Conductor Size

6. General Editorial Revisions
